How it all started
Back in 2015
OHAO was founded in 2015 by Maarten, who was navigating the process of purchasing his first property. During his journey, he quickly realized that the mortgage fees were high and the process was frustrating and inefficient. Disappointed by the lack of clarity, the complexity, and the steep costs, Maarten recognized that there had to be a better way to help people through the overwhelming process of securing a mortgage.
Inspired by his own experience, Maarten decided to turn his frustration into action and founded OHAO with a clear vision: to offer high-quality mortgage services at competitive fees. But he didn’t stop there—Maarten wanted to transform the entire mortgage application experience.
OHAO today
To achieve this, OHAO developed its own mortgage application software (Hypact Advisor), designed to simplify communication, streamline calculations, and improve the overall application process. This innovative tool has been used daily ever since, making the experience smoother and more efficient for both clients and advisors.
Now, 10 years later, OHAO continues to follow Maarten’s vision, with a dedicated team of advisors committed to making the mortgage application journey better for everyone. The company remains focused on providing transparent, affordable, and hassle-free mortgage solutions for clients across the Netherlands.
